What is consignment selling?
Consignment selling is an arrangement between you (the consignee) and Reseller (the consignor) allowing us to sell items on your behalf. You retain ownership of the items until they sell and once sold you receive a percentage of the sale price. If your items do not sell then you pick them up from us or we can donate them to charity on your behalf.
What items do you take?
We look to create an exciting range of quality fashion for men and women so we need to curate the collection, taking into consideration style, colour, fabric, age, condition, season, brand and what is currently on the shop floor.
We do not accept fast fashion, clothing from discount department stores or mass-market items, items that are dirty or damaged (including items that need repair or dry cleaning to be presentable for sale).
How long are my items for sale?
Usually items are on the shop floor for 4 weeks. If they haven’t sold by then we contact you to consider options. We will always get your agreement before we change anything. If your items don’t sell then you will need to pick them up.
How much will I be paid?
Our usual consignment split is 50/50 of the sale price, no hidden extras. Overhead costs and GST comes out of Reseller’s share.
How long does it take to be paid?
We make payments once each week so you will be paid in the week after your item sells. You will receive an email notification listing of your sales for the week and advice of payment to your bank account (mainly via PayID).
How do you price my items?
The prices we suggest are based on style, demand, brand, quality and condition. We also consider your price expectation and prices of comparable items. Generally, the second hand market prices items at around one third of the original value but this is dependent on many factors that will influence the final price. We do not sell items without your agreement on price.
How do you keep my items safe?
All items are security tagged to prevent theft and we have at least two people on staff at all times to assist customers directly. While we cannot guarantee that this is all it takes to prevent theft, the risk is materially reduced. We regret that we cannot accept liability in the event any items are stolen despite our best efforts.
Can I exchange or get a refund on purchases?
We do not offer refunds or exchanges so please choose carefully. We take care to inspect all items to ensure they are in a condition suitable for resale but the items are second hand and are sold on an ‘as is’ basis.
What if I don't have PayID
We pay using PayID so we don’t have to store your banking details and it’s super easy to set up with your bank. Just log on to your online banking app and follow the prompts. If you prefer not to work with instant PayID payments, you can provide BSB and Account numbers but these may take a day or two to transfer.
How long does it usually take for my items to sell?
Some go the same day! But overall it depends on what it is, customer demand and who walks through our doors or sees our social network!
